Sage Meadows has Wonderful School Horses...

Sage Meadows currently has 6 wonderful school horses in our lesson program. They each excel in various disciplines and all have a knack for teaching the art of horseback riding.

SYNDICATE

"Syd" is an 8 yr. old Hanovarian Warmblood cross. He is a gentle giant at 17.2 hands but with a heart of gold. He is young but is proving himself to be a steady and dependable mount for our students wanting to learn both dressage and jumping. Syd came from a home where he excelled in eventing and lower level dressage and was ready for a new job. We are so happy to have him!

BAROQUE

"Bear" is a 19 yr, 16.2 H Warmblood cross gelding who came from another riding program nearby. He is a dressage schoolmaster, having been trained up through PSG level. He is safe and steady for beginners but also a well trained show horse for our more advanced riders. We are lucky to have this fantastic guy!

C I'M SOMEBODY

"Drifter" is a 16.2 H Quarter Horse Gelding who has been a school horse for many years before coming here to Sage Meadows. He knows his job well and has an extensive show career. Drifter excels in Huntseat, Dressage, and especially Western. He's a gentle giant who is safe and dependable with any level rider.

QUEEN OF HEARTS

"Foxy" is an 15 year old, 14.1 H, Connemara cross who excels in jumping, huntseat, western, lower level dressage and teaching the little ones to ride. She is a safe and steady mount making her the ultimate confidence builder. She is a great show horse and has taken many riders to their first show without a hitch. She is definitely the barn favorite, and for a good reason.

BEACON LIGHTS

"Beacon" is a 16 year old, 16.2 H, Trakehner Cross gelding who excels in dressage, huntseat, and jumping. He is a beautiful mover with an easy going temperament. He has extensive training, yet can carry the beginners around the arena as well. We think he is the coolest thing on 4 legs!

WILLOW

"Willow" is an 11.2 hand, 13 year old Welsh Mountain Pony that is as cute as a pony can be. She adores children and is an excellent teacher. She is a bombproof confidence builder that is an easy mount for even the littlest riders. She has 3 smooth, steady gaits and a horse-sized amount of personality.
