Sage Meadows Wonderful School Horses...
Sage Meadows currently has 7 wonderful school horses in our lesson program. They each excel in various disciplines and all have a knack for teaching their riders the art of horseback riding. Come meet them... you will surely enjoy the ride!
TIPTOEING VIXEN
"Vixen" is a 16 yr, 16 H, Thoroughbred mare who was acquired from another riding program this year. She is boarded nearby and is an excellent upper-level mount for those of our riders who are ready to move up to more responsibility and challenge. She is leased out to various Sage Meadows riders and enjoys trail riding, lessons and showing. She is a wonderful teacher and a flashy show horse. We just adore her!
C I'M SOMEBODY
"Drifter" is a 16.2 H Quarter Horse Gelding who has been a school horse for many years before coming here to Sage Meadows. He knows his job well and has an extensive show career. Drifter excels in Huntseat, Dressage, and especially Western. He's a gentle giant who is safe and dependable with any level rider.
QUEEN OF HEARTS
"Foxy" is an 11 year old, 14.1 H, Connemara cross who excells in jumping, huntseat, western, and teaching the little ones to ride. She is a safe and steady mount making her the ultimate confidence builder. She is a great show horse and has taken many riders to their first show without a hitch. She is definitely the barn favorite, and for a good reason.
UP IN LIGHTS
"Beacon" is a 14 year old, 16.2 H, Warmblood Cross gelding who excels in dressage, huntseat, jumping, trails and as a school horse. He is a beautiful mover with an easy going temperment. He has extensive training, yet can carry the beginners around the arena as well. We think he is the coolest thing on 4 legs!
TOO HOT TO TROT
"Trotter" is a 7 year old, 13 hand, Welsh/Paint/QH Cross gelding. He aims to please and loves being around kids. We think he is more like a puppy dog than a horse! His training has progressed very quickly and he is already safely carrying his riders around the arena. He is a brave, smart, talented pony that has turned out to be a great addition to our program.
WILLOW
"Willow" is an 11.2 hand, 11 year old Welsh Mountain Pony that is fairly new to our barn. She came from another program where she wasn't used often due to her small size. She is doing very well in our program and learning the ropes. She has proven to be a safe, bombproof, and well-trained pony for our littlest riders to learn on.
FAROUT BARLINK
"Buff" is a 6 year old, 15.2 hand, BS Paint. He is "Mr. Social" and loves to be around anyone and everyone. He has 3 great gaits and a fun, playful disposition. He is currently in training, but once he has more miles under him, we hope he will be a great addition to our program.
