KATIE SCHEID
Katie has over 25 years of experience riding, training, and showing horses of all breeds and disciplines. She competed in AQHA, Zone, USDF and IHSA in disciplines including Western Pleasure, Dressage, Reining, Jumping, Huntseat, Equitation, Showmanship, and Halter. She then became Captain of the Western Washington University Equestrian Team in 2004 & 2005. Katie has won titles including IHSA Regional Champion in 2003 & 2004 for both Huntseat Equitation and Western Horsemanship. Katie began sharing her knowledge of horses in 1998 as a private riding instructor at Stevenson Stables in Mercer Island, WA. Later she became head instructor at the Northwest Therapeutic Riding Center in Bellingham, WA. This experience motivated her to earn a degree in Pre-Physical Therapy to better understand the power of horses in healing. This knowledge allows Katie to effectively train the physical needs of both horse and rider to improve strength, balance and harmony. Katie and her husband, Joseph, own and operate Sage Meadows Equestrian Facility in Redmond, WA.

CORINNE POWLEY
Corinne has a lifetime of experience riding, training and taking lessons in huntseat and dressage. She has a calm and gentle approach to training both horse and rider. She places strong emphasis on developing the skills for effective communication between horse and rider on which a relationship can be built. Safety and proper horsemanship are key components to her teaching curriculum. She is especially great with children since she has a background in teaching kindergarten and first grade.
